Last Thursday (6/25) Addison was diagnosed with a pretty bad virus. I am not comfortable sharing it on here because this blog is no longer private. Tim & I are devastated by the news, but also thankful that it isn't anything worse.
Unfortunately, this has caused a major setback in the weight department. Addison was weighed on Thursday, and she weighed in at 20.6. This was with her clothes on, so they believe that she has lost at least 1lb if not more, because she weighed 20.6 at her 15 month appointment. She has been on a high calorie diet for the last two months, and not only does she get pediasure mixed with her whole milk, but she also gets carnation milk for the extra calories. Due to these extra calories, we had high hopes for at least a small weight gain. Oh well, according to our doctor most babies with this virus end up being hospitalized, so we are already ahead of the game on this one.
Yesteday, was her best day so far. She managed to drink everything we put in front of her, and she ate a really good dinner, which hasn't happened in almost 2 weeks. I have never seen her eat so quickly.
Even though we think we are close to the end of this, please keep us in your prayers, because things can change so quickly.
