Deal of the Day.

I bought this today at Target for........
$34.98
Regular price: $139.99
This includes a 2010 Graco SnugRide car seat with base and the Graco Snugrider snap-n-go stroller. I didn't really need a new car seat, but I couldn't resist it for $35. I figure that I can sell my existing travel system, because we recently got a double stroller for Addison and Ryne. Yay for good deals!

Addie's first corn on the cob.

Feeding the geese at Boys Town.

I took Addison to feed the geese at my work last Friday. Now, I have seen these same geese numerous times, because I often bring the girls from my house to feed them at the lake. However, normally they are swimming and not roaming around. This time they were all over the place. We couldn't get away from them. I really wanted Addie to have a chance to feed them, but the adults would get so close to her and hiss at her, so I had to hold her most of the time. They were so mean that we ended up leaving. I don't know when I will be able to take her again because they really scared her. It was quite the disappointing trip.

Spray bottle. The best toy EVER!

In a desperate need to entertain Addison one afternoon, I gave her a spray bottle filled with water and showed her how to spray it. She has been in love ever since. She carries it around outside, and she sprays everything she can reach. She will walk around and say, " clean momma's car", "clean daddy's car", "feed bushes", "Addison water tree", and my favorite "Addison wash the bugs".
I wish that I would have thought of this earlier!

Big Girl Bed (part II)

I finally finished painting Addison's big girl bed, so she finally has an actual bed and not just mattresses on the floor. She has done a great job transitioning and LOVES her bed!

Trips to the Zoo

We have made a few trips to the zoo already this year. I have just failed to be organized enough to get the pictures up right away. Big surprise there. ;-) One of these trips also included Addison's first ride on the zoo train! She loved it and talked about it all day!

Sassy vs. Finger

I posted in March that we decided to ditch the "sassy" otherwise known as a pacifier. Well our efforts were sucessful at first. However, Addison decided that instead of her sassy she would use her finger. Her index finger. So, every day when she became tired, we would notice her start to suck on that one finger. She also started doing it at bedtime.

Now, here is my issue... I know people who still suck their fingers, thumbs, etc and are well into their teens (sometimes even older). I do not want to have a child who sucks her fingers at sleepovers, etc. Poor thing will be made fun of endlessly. I believe that though a "sassy" addiction is hard to break, a "finger" addiction will be even harder, so.......

Today, I gave the "sassy" back. Maybe it was the wrong decision, I really don't know. I guess we will see.
