I posted in March that we decided to ditch the "sassy" otherwise known as a pacifier. Well our efforts were sucessful at first. However, Addison decided that instead of her sassy she would use her finger. Her index finger. So, every day when she became tired, we would notice her start to suck on that one finger. She also started doing it at bedtime.
Now, here is my issue... I know people who still suck their fingers, thumbs, etc and are well into their teens (sometimes even older). I do not want to have a child who sucks her fingers at sleepovers, etc. Poor thing will be made fun of endlessly. I believe that though a "sassy" addiction is hard to break, a "finger" addiction will be even harder, so.......

I completely agree with you! Elizabeth only gets "paci" when she is in bed and she doesn't get to take it to daycare. But if we are ANYWHERE and I see a thumb pop in that mouth I throw a paci at her immediately! I was a thumb sucker at night time until I was WAY too old to be doing it and I ended up with braces.
